Personally I want to see more from them in terms of audits that prove reserves. It is supposed to be tokenized precious metals that are fully redeemable for the real thing and are supposed to be 100% backed by the precious metals that are tokenized. But, I don't like this from their website: "Meld has developed and patented its own audit system, currently audits are manual but this will be updated with its custom designed system to give full transparency to metals holdings across the Meld Gold supply chain." I don't like this. I would want their reserves to be audited by an independent third party. Auditing yourself is equivalent to "trust me bro."

Imo gold only makes sense if you actually own physical gold. As long as we still have electricity and the internet, bitcoin is a superior store of value.

In Australia, MELD gold tokens can apparently be redeemed at specified locations for actual gold
